Summer School: Snyk Developer Challenge

After an introduction to developer security essentials, we'll dive into fixing vulnerabilities in real life! We'll walk through installing and using the most common security tools, and we'll look at scanning a project for vulnerabilities.
Finally, we'll use a unique gaming experience to compete for the most fixes in the time we have together. The top score gets a doggy prize!
*be sure to stick around for at least 2 out of 3 classes to receive your certification
What you can expect to learn
- How to install the Snyk CLI
- How to scan projects for vulnerabilities
- How to fix vulnerabilities inside of a game with a leaderboard

Micah Silverman
Micah is Snyk's Director, Developer Acceleration. With 26 years of Java Experience (yup, that's from the beginning) and 20 years as a security professional Micah's authored numerous articles, co-authored a Java EE book, and spoken at many conferences. He's a maker, who's built full-size MAME arcade cabinets and repaired old electronic games. He brings his love of all things security and Java to a conference near you!
